THE MANAGING DIRECTOR OF THE GRAMEEN BANK

Dr.Muhammed Yunus was born in 1940 in Chittagong.He is the third of 14 children of his parents.He received his primary education in Chittagong.He received his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in USA. He was the head of economics department of Chittagong University.He is also the Managing Director of the Grameen Bank.In 1997, he organised the world's first Micro-credit Summit in Washington D.C. He was awarded Nobel Peace Prize in 2006.
