THE MISS WORLD TITLE IN 2000


 

In1982 Priyanka Chopra was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand to Ashok Chopra and Madhu Akhauri, both physicians by profession. Chopra spent her childhood in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh; Newton, Massachusetts and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Her father was in the army and thus her family moved quite frequently. She has a brother, Siddharth.She is an Indian actress and former Miss World.She worked as a model and gained fame after winning the Miss World title in 2000 before starting her acting career.When Chopra won the Miss World crown,she became the fifth Indian woman to win the title.

Kareena Kapoor was born in Mumbai, India, on 21 September 1980, into the Kapoor film family.He is an Indian actress who appears in Bollywood films. Kapoor is the younger daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita. Her elder sister Karisma Kapoor, is also an actress. She is the granddaughter of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor, great-granddaughter of actor Prithviraj Kapoor, and niece of actor Rishi Kapoor.Hailing from a family deeply involved in the Bollywood film industry, Kapoor faced the media spotlight from a very young age. As a child, Kapoor regularly attended award ceremonies and events with her mother Babita and sister Karisma Kapoor, and would also accompany her sister on set during filming.During her years in the film industry, Kapoor has been involved with various humanitarian causes.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was born  into a Tulu-speaking Bunt family in Mangalore, Karnataka in 1973 .Her father, Krishnaraj, was a marine biologist, while her mother, Brindya, is a housewife. She is an Indian film actress. She worked as a model before starting her acting career, and ultimately won the Miss World pageant in 1994. Rai has acted in over 40 films in Hindi, English, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali.She has one elder brother, Aditya Rai. He is an engineer in the merchant navy.
































AISHWARYA AND ABHISHEK
Aishwarya Rai is married to actor Abhishek Bachchan, they met in 1997.Their engagement was announced on 14 January 2007 and later confirmed by his father, Amitabh Bachchan. They married on 20 April 2007 according to traditional Hindu rites of the Bunt community. The wedding took place in a private ceremony at the Bachchan residence, "Prateeksha", in Juhu, Mumbai. Rai is very close to her family and lived with them in Bandra, Mumbai, until her marriage.

ANGRY YOUNG MAN

Amitabh Bachchan was born in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh in 1942. He is an indian film actor.His father, Dr. Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a well-known Hindi poet, while his mother, Teji Bachchan was a Sikh-Punjabi from Faisalabad. . He first gained popularity in the early 1970s as the "angry young man" of Hindi cinema, and has since become one of the most prominent figures in the history of Indian cinema.

Bachchan is married to actress Jaya Bhaduri. They have two children, Shweta Nanda and Abhishek Bachchan. Abhishek is also an actor and is married to actress Aishwarya Rai.

Aamir Khan was born on 14 March 1965 in Bandra’s Holy Family Hospital,Mumbai,India. His father ,Tahir Hussain,was a film producer while his uncle, Nasir Hussain, was a film producer, dirctor and an actor .Aamir khan is an Indian film actor, director and producer who has established himself as one of the leading actors of Hindi cinema. Khan married Reena Dutta on April 18, 1986. They have two children, a son named Junaid and a daughter, Ira.

In1974 Hrithik Roshan was born in Mumbai to a family of cinema personalities. His father name is Rakesh Roshan. He is a film director. Rakesh Roshan is the son of music director Roshan, while his mother, Pinky, is the daughter of producer and director J. Om Prakash. Hrithik has an elder sister, Sunaina. His wife is Suzanne

A MULTIDOMED MOSQUE


The shat gambuj mosque is the most spectacular and imposing mosque of Banglabesh. It is a multidomed mosque situated in the suburb of Bagerhat. Khan Jahan Ali, the preacher of Islam,built it. It stands on the eastern bank of a vast sweet-water tank. It was also used as the court of Khan Jahan Ali. It is important both historically and culturally to the people of Bangladesh. Now it is one of the greatest tourist attractions and best architectural beauties of Bangladesh.

Salman Khan was born in1965. He is the eldest son of screenwriter Salim Khan and his first wife Salma. He has two brothers, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, and two sisters, Alvira and Arpita.He is an Indian film actor. . Khan has thus established himself as one of the leading actors of Hindi cinema. Dr.Muhammed Yunus was born in 1940 in Chittagong.He is the third of 14 children of his parents.He received his primary education in Chittagong.He received his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University in USA. He was the head of economics department of Chittagong University.He is also the Managing Director of the Grameen Bank.In 1997, he organised the world's first Micro-credit Summit in Washington D.C. He was awarded Nobel Peace Prize in 2006.

Cox's Bazar sea-beach is the longest sea-beach in the world. It is one of the most beautiful sea-beaches in the world. As one of the most beautiful and famous tourist spots in Bangladesh, the major source of economy in Cox's Bazar is tourism. Millions of foreigners and Bangladeshi natives visit this coastal city every year. As a result, a large number of hotels, guest houses and motels have been built in the city and coastal region. Many people are involved in hospitality and customer service orientated businesses. A number of people are also involved in fishing and sea products for their livelihood. Various kinds of Oyster, Snail, Pearl and their ornaments are very popular with tourists in seaside and city stores. Cox's Bazar is also one of the few major spots for aquaculture in Bangladesh. Along with Khalna, it is considered a major source of revenue from foreign exchanges. Beside a mix of small-scale agriculture, marine and inland fishing and salt production are other industrial sources from this region that play important roles in the national economy. Although Cox's Bazar is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Bangladesh, it has yet to become a major international tourist destination, due to lack of publicity.

Stephen Hawking is a great scientist. He was born in 1942 in an educated family in United States of America.Hawking is considered the greatest physicist after Einstein.He got married at the age of 21 in1963. He was skilled in Mathematics since his childhood. As a victim of Gehrig's disease he was confined to the wheelchair in 1972 with no power to control his body except for some limited movement of his head and hands only.He can not communicate with people.He lives with his wife and three daughters. An American organisation provides him with 24 hours nursing facilities.

A IMPORTANT BRIDGE IN BANGLADESH




Some important bridges in Bangladesh are the Jamuna Multi-purpose Bridge,the Lalon Shah Bridge and Burigonga Bridge. The Jamuna Multi-Purpose Bridge over the mighty river Jamuna is a triumph of modern engineering and technological skills. It is 4.8 kilometres long and 18.5metres wide. There are motorway and railway on the bridge. It has 50 pillars and 49 spans. The total cost of this hung structure was more than seven hundred million US dollars which came jointly from the Bangladesh Government ,the World Bank ,the Asian Development Japan.

THE GREAT WELL OF CHINA

The Great Well of China is the largest defence fortification. It is about 1500 miles long, this unique wall stretches from the Gulf of Cicily of the yellow sea along the northern frontier of China to kansu Province in the west. It is the only structure on earth that can be identified from the moon. In the 3rd century BC it was linked up. It is made of rubble, tamped earth and brick. Later it was modified, repaired and extended several. It was built to defend China from enemies. The wall was so constructed in such a way that troops summoned by beacon fire could be quickly transported along its top.

A TOMB FOR A WIFE IN AGRA


Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world.It has been over three hundred years since Emperor of Delhi Shah Jahan built it as a tomb for his wife Mumtaj in Agra.The bodies of Shah Jahan and his wife l ie in two graves.It is made of fine white marble with inlays  of  coloured marble.It has eight sides and many open arches.The building is surrounded by a beautiful garden and there is a long pool.Visitors can see the beauty of the taj mahal in the pool water.Most people like it best moonlit nights.Visitors come to see this building at different times of the day.

A SPECTACULAR PARLIAMENT BUILDING


The Sangsad Bhaban (Parliament house) at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka is one of the largest and most spectacular parliament buildings in the world.It is a wonder of modern architecture and technology.It was designed by the famous American architect Louis I Kahn.Construction work on this structure started in 1964.It was inaugurated in 1982.The first parliamentary session was held on 15 February the same year.Its annual maintenance cost is about 50 million taka.This is truly a wonder for a poor country like Bangladesh.It has 1605 door,335 windows and 365 ventilators.The house has 354 seats for MPs,56 for guests,40 for journalists and 430 for spectators.One could easily get lost in its deceptive corridors.

THE EOUNDER OF AL QAEDA


Osama bin Laden's full name Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden, means "Osama, son of Mohammed, son of Awad, son of Laden". "Mohammed" refers to bin Laden's father Mohammed bin Laden; "Awad" refers to his grandfather, Awad bin Aboud bin Laden, a Kindite Hadhrami tribesman; "Laden" refers not to bin Laden's great-grandfather, who was named Aboud, but to a more distant ancestor.Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden was the founder of al-Qaeda.He was born on March 10, 1957 in Riyadh.Bin Laden was on the American Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) lists of Ten Most Wanted Fugitives and Most Wanted Terrorists for his involvement in the 1998 U.S. embassy bombings. From 2001 to 2011, bin Laden was a major target of the War on Terror, with a US$25 million bounty by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
After being placed on the FBI's Most Wanted list, bin Laden remained in hiding during three U.S. presidential administrations. On May 2, 2011, bin Laden was shot and killed inside a private residential compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, by U.S. Navy SEALs and CIA operatives in a covert operation ordered by United States President Barack Obama. Shortly after his death, bin Laden's body was buried at sea. Al-Qaeda acknowledged his death on May 6, 2011, vowing to retaliate.
